Introducing Worthington Chiropractor Dr. Julia Keiser
My Experience

I thought chiropractic was voodoo but I went in desperation. It changed my life. I had fallen down the stairs and had horrible sciatica; nearly unable to walk. I went to my family doctor who prescribed loads of drugs and, when they were not helpful, he shipped me off to a series of specialists. I was getting worse not better and now my menstrual period had completely stopped. All the medical doctors convinced me this was not related to my sciatica. A friend referred me to a chiropractor.
I had no idea what to expect and was leery and afraid. Within three weeks, the sciatica was gone and within one month my period had returned to normal except without the miserable cramps. The chiropractor also told me he could help me with my sinus migraines. I told him I had been to the head of Ears Nose and Throat at University Hospital and had sinus x-rays and CAT scan and been told nothing could help me. These headaches had been a huge part of my life for over 12 years. I had given up hope. I was drugged up with pain killers, antihistamines, decongestants and antibiotics.
Within about six weeks of chiropractic care, I began to see a decrease in headache frequency and intensity. Then my chiropractic miracle occurred. The headaches were gone!
Career Path
The dramatic improvement in my health made me re-examine my current career path. I had become a social worker to help people reach their full potential. After realizing how chiropractic had improved my life in every way, I saw it as a means to help others reach their own potential.
Educational Experience
My undergraduate degree in social work and my M.S. in human development were excellent preparation for chiropractic college. Both these degrees were completed at The Ohio State University. Attending Palmer College of Chiropractic was the most stimulating, challenging, exciting time of my educational career. I chose Palmer because of its excellent reputation and because every chiropractor with whom I came in contact agreed Palmer had the outstanding program.
Family & Hobbies
My own family consists of my husband, Kevin (a graphic designer) and three dogs, Maggie, Jack and Rowan (all rescues). We love to travel, especially to Maine where we have a cottage. We love to hike, take photographs, kayak. I have belonged to a book club for the last twelve years and love to read.
Health Habits
If I am to reach my full potential and help others reach theirs, I must have excellent health habits. Mine include getting a chiropractic spinal check every week, walking 4-5 days per week, working with a personal trainer, eating healthily, taking specific nutritional supplements and meditation and positive visualization.
